Santa Ana USD, in conjunction with KYA, designed a premiere football facility, field, and practice field. A multi-faceted system was chosen to resolve the common market issue of base failure. Thus, providing a high-quality field with maximum life expectancy.

Method of Approach: A joint task force was established to collectively investigate, specify and ensure high district standards at all times. Other requirements included qualified installation adhering to stringent timelines and consistent quality control throughout. Manufacturers, Designers, Site Engineers, Project Managers and Coordinators worked together to ensure the highest standard of quality was met. From the concrete encased drainage system to the engineered base, to the crowned asphalt substrate over which CMS panels were laid and finally custom turf installed with infill distributed and first maintenance applied, quality control measures were stringently adhered to with each process.
