As the CEO of KYA Services, Tony Leyds brings extensive experience from a multifaceted background. With a law degree and a successful legal career in South Africa, Tony transitioned into entrepreneurship in the United States, co-founding USA Shade & Fabric Structures. His strategic vision and leadership were pivotal in establishing the company as a respected name in the shade industry. Leveraging his expertise, Tony has provided strategic consulting to numerous businesses, guiding them towards growth and success. At KYA Services, Tony upholds a commitment to excellence, fostering innovation and empowerment within the team and with clients.
Brooks Berry

Brooks Berry began his finance career straight out of college, accumulating over 30 years of experience in the industry. His journey includes 12 years at The CIT Group, 3 years at NationsBanc, and 17 years as the owner of Excel Capital Corporation, a finance consulting business. At KYA Services, Brooks started by overseeing administration, sales, and TLS Choice in 2019. He then assumed the role of CFO in December 2021, where he has significantly contributed to the company’s financial strategy and operations.
Jonathan Williams

Jonathan Williams joined KYA as COO in January 2024, bringing over 30 years of experience in the Financial Services and Real Estate sectors. He has held senior positions such as SVP Treasurer, CFO, and CEO at companies like Coldwell Banker, Ameriquest Mortgage, Morgan Stanley, and CashCall Mortgage. Jonathan holds a Graduate Diploma in Accounting and Finance from the University of Cape Town, South Africa. Beyond his professional achievements, Jonathan leads an active lifestyle, having completed over a hundred triathlons, including thirteen Ironman races.
Edwin Jay

Edwin Jay is a distinguished entrepreneur, chairman of the Jane Goodall Institute and attorney with a strong background in business law. He has founded and invested in various ventures, showcasing his knack for navigating the complex intersection of these fields. Edwin has served as a Non-Executive Director at Moneyweb Holdings Limited, listed on the Johannesburg Stock Exchange, and as Chairman of O-Line Holdings Limited, where he played a key role in strategic direction and growth. His passion lies in leveraging his legal expertise to drive business success, always seeking new avenues for impactful contributions.

Richard “Ricky” Contreras started his career in customer service before moving into Inside Sales and eventually Outside Sales. Since joining KYA in 2013, Ricky has been instrumental in expanding the company’s presence across California. In 2019, he became Sales Manager, where he excels in fostering positive relationships and creating impactful spaces for employees, students, and the public. Ricky’s work is driven by a passion for building partnerships and cultivating a joyful and fulfilling workplace environment.

He joined KYA in 2021 after holding key project management positions at Pinner Construction, Kemp Brothers Construction, and Bernards. Armando holds a Bachelor of Science in Construction Engineering from California State Polytechnic University-Pomona.
