E-SPORTS ARENA - COMPTON COLLEGE

Compton College is making great strides in both the athletic and education fields. It is proud to be a groundbreaking leader in its community. After receiving feedback from their district, Compton College combined higher education and competition to create a new program. This esports arena provides something innovative and unique to the community. Local high schools in the area already have esports teams; making this a perfect addition to the community college curriculum for maintaining enrollment. Compton College is a long-time client of KYA. They chose KYA because of the speed and efficiency brought to past projects. The timeline to complete this project was short due to limited access to campus. Compton College chose an existing standard classroom as the site for its esports lab. Converting the space required new flooring, paint, electrical and technology. KYA teamed with Vessel Creative Solutions for their expertise in technology installation. Regardless of the supply chain environment, KYA delivered on time and stayed within budget. Esports embodies equity and true accessibility for all. It also provides programming curriculums with direct pathways to job training and community partnerships.
