HVAC Preventative Maintenance Program

Clark County SD encompasses 126 schools and administration buildings in region 2. The district did not have scheduled maintenance on the central plant equipment which consists of chillers, pumps, VFDs, air compressors and heat exchangers. They were experiencing extensive failures and service calls resulting in downtime and classroom closures. KYA partnered with an energy management partner to utilize their experience and ability to scale up for the extensive work required. The goal of this project was to restore existing equipment to assure they operate at peak efficiency. With proper service and maintenance, KYA helped to extend the useful life of the equipment up to 40% and operating efficiency up to 25%. Items like the chiller barrel found at Fertitta Middle School were coated with Belzona in order to extend the useful life of the chiller.  

CCSD needed a company that could help provide procurement options and execute on a tight timeline. KYA's contract, allowed them to go straight to board approval. KYA was able to meet or exceed all deadlines and helped reduce HVAC service call the district received daily.
