CULINARY UPDATE - SHASTA UNION HIGH SCHOOL
CULINARY UPDATE AT ENTERPRISE
Shasta Union High School was seeking a remodel of their Culinary department. The standard VCT had extensive wear and the outdated amenities posed a safety hazard to students and faculty. Originally this project went out to bid but it came up over budget. Then they turned to KYA to solve their needs.
KYA began by demoing all of the wood cabinetry posing safety and fire hazards, outdated sinks, pipes, ovens, stovetops, wallmounted ovens, island stovetops, any and all cooking utensils and mixers and of course the worn VCT flooring.
KYA installed new stainless steel amenities as well as epoxy flooring which has a gradient to prevent slippage and toughness that prevents scratching and markings from sliding tables or chairs. This epoxy was selected with the color customization matching the schools' colors perfectly to go along with their team mentality.
The client was overjoyed to see the final product come to fruition - with a new quality culinary program, they are able to further their students' culinary skills as well as fit their vision. All of this was accomplished while being within their budget.
