MINIMIZING EROSION ISSUES

Parmer Lane Elementary School wanted a year-round solution for their school’s frontage. The existing dirt planters were cause for concern because of constant erosion.

The erosion left the side walks messy and the planter exposed, which created excessive, consuming work for the maintenance staff.

It was decided that the new landscape would need to have properties that would minimize maintenance and assist in preventing erosion while also providing a manicured appearance.

KYA recommended installing synthetic turf as an all inclusive solution.

Synthetic turf is durable, low maintenance and inherently UV resistant. These qualities make synthetic turf the ideal year-round surface as it will not show wear, faded color or erode.

The frontage transformation has drastically improved aesthetically and resolved the previous issues.
